The residence of Dr. J. H. Payne was the scene of a quiet, unostentatious wedding ceremonial last Tuesday evening, the contracting parties being Mr. Hayes Wimberly, son of W. R. Wimberly, one of Kaufman County's best and most influential farmers, and Miss Della Payne, the winsome daughter of Dr. J. H. Payne, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of this place. The marriage ceremony occurred at 5 o'clock, Rev. J. A. Hornbeak of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Present at the marriage were the immediate relatives of the contracting parties and a few special friends from this city.

After the ceremony the benedictions of kind and loving parents and the congratulations of friends were showered upon the happy couple and all repaired tot he dining room, where the marriage feast was partaken of. Mr. and Mrs. Wimberly will reside near Terrell.

18 Both Giuseppe's and Vincenza's birth certificates have notations about their marriage. Each shows 31 April 1903 as the marriage date. There are only 30 days in April. Their marriage certificate shows 21 April 1903 as the marriage date. I believe the 31 April notation on both of their birth certificates were meant to be 21 April.

The marriage certificate lists "fu Girolamo" as Giuseppe's father. "Fu" means "late" or "deceased." Conclusion: Girolamo died before 21 Apr 1903.
