Entrance on South Olden Avenue (bet Atkins & Edwin; closer to side street Edwin; map shows name of cemetery as St. Mary's Cemetery). Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Cedar Lane in Hamilton, NJ) was established in 1911 as the successor to Saint Francis Cemetery in the Chambersburg neighborhood of Trenton, NJ.

On 30 Jan 2007, I went to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hamilton (Trenton), NJ, to search for Stella. The cemetery records are kept by St. Mary's Cemetery (since Oct 2006), which is located at 1200 Cedar Lane. I went to the office and inquired about Stella's gravesite. There is no Stella Alfano listed in their records. I did find a Girolamo & Jennie Alfano. I had them look under Buttice and found an Agostino and Concettina Buttice. I was told that records were kept according to the name of the person who purchased the plot, not who was buried there. I went back to Holy Sepulchre and found the headstones for the above Alfanos and Buttices. There was no Stella close by. I spoke with the superintendent of the grounds, and he told me where there was a section for infants/babies. I looked at each headstone, but did not find Stella. There were some headstones with no markings and others that were either broken or had sunk into the ground. I was NOT successful in locating her gravesite.

      Press Release:

Michael Lambeth to make the decisions necessary for these communities to join together. The care of St. Francis and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries will be provided by the diocesan Cemeteries Office located at St. Mary Cemetery.
